🚨 Gas Leak Response – Saddlebrook Way 🚨

Yesterday, B Shift units from Ladder 38, Engine 13, Truck 2, Battalion Chief 3, Ladder 9, and Hazmat 9 responded to a hazardous gas leak in the 5700 block of Saddlebrook Way in Wesley Chapel.

Crews arrived to find a 500-gallon propane tank leaking after it was accidentally struck by a bobcat, breaking off the top valve. 💥💨

Working alongside Suburban Propane, our Hazmat Team and crews conducted a controlled burn-off to safely mitigate the hazard. The operation took several hours, with units remaining on scene to ensure the area was safe and secure. 👨‍🚒🔥

Our Hazmat units routinely work hand-in-hand with local gas companies to manage incidents like this safely and effectively. Great job by all crews on scene — and we’re happy to report no injuries were reported. 👏
