🚨 HISTORIC WIN FOR PASCO COUNTY PUBLIC SAFETY! 🚨
Pasco County Professional Firefighters IAFF Local 4420 is proud to announce that we have secured a $3.4 million appropriation in partial funding from the State of Florida for the construction of a new fire station, Station 4, which will serve the West Pasco community on SR 54 near Gunn Highway.
This achievement is the result of years of hard work and strategic advocacy by our Local and our Political Action Committee, the Firefighters of Pasco FIREPAC. Our commitment to the safety and well-being of Pasco County’s citizens has always been our driving force, and this new station will help reduce call volume for our firefighters, improve emergency response times, and enhance service to our growing community.
We also recognize and honor the past leaders who laid the foundation for our success today. Their vision and dedication built the strong advocacy platform that has allowed us to deliver real, tangible results for our members and the community.
This milestone would not have been possible without the strong support of elected officials who prioritize public safety. We extend our deepest gratitude to Representative Brad Yeager, Senator Danny Burgess, Senator Ed Hooper, Senator Blaise Ingoglia, Representative Randy Maggard, Representative Kevin Steele, and Representative Jeff Holcomb. Their commitment to the residents of Pasco County and to first responders helped make this critical funding a reality.

Our deepest condolences go out to IAFF Local 2856 — Kootenai County Fire & Rescue — and IAFF Local 710 — Coeur d’Alene — along with the entire Idaho fire service community, following the tragic loss of two firefighters who were shot and killed while responding to a brush fire. Reports indicate this fire was deliberately set with the intent to harm our brothers and sisters who responded.
This is a heartbreaking reminder of the dangers firefighters face, even beyond the flames, when answering the call to protect their communities. We stand in solidarity with Local 2856 and Local 710, honoring the courage and sacrifice of these fallen heroes.
Rest easy, brothers. We will never forget.
