
1. Rule Changes
All tournament rules and regulations are subject to change up until the official start time of 7:00 AM on April 25, 2026. It is each angler’s responsibility to stay informed of any updates.
2. Fishing License Requirements
All anglers must possess a valid Florida Saltwater Fishing License unless exempt by age (under 16 or 65+). Prize winners may be required to present proof of license prior to receiving awards.
3. Waivers
Every participant must complete and sign the official tournament waiver prior to fishing. Failure to do so will result in disqualification.
4. Entry Fees
All entry fees are non-refundable, unless the tournament is canceled entirely. In the event of inclement weather, efforts will be made to reschedule.
5. Minors
Participants under 18 years of age must have parental or guardian consent and a signed waiver. Any winnings exceeding $600 will be paid directly to the parent or legal guardian.
6. Registration
Registration must be completed online at www.iaff4420.org/fish.
All teams must be fully registered and paid by the conclusion of the Captains Meeting. No late entries or refunds will be accepted.
7. Team Structure
Maximum of four (4) anglers per boat
One angler designated as Team Captain
Entry fee: $400 per boat
8. Eligible Species
Only the following species qualify:
Redfish
Snook
Spotted Seatrout
9. Bait & Fishing Area
Live, dead, and artificial bait are permitted.
Fishing boundaries are the open coastline. All fishing must take place in publicly accessible waters.
10. Tournament Hours
Lines in the water: 7:00 AM
Final fish photo submission: 2:30 PM
11. Vessel Responsibility
Each participant is solely responsible for determining whether their vessel is seaworthy. Tournament organizers assume no responsibility for personal safety on or off the water.
12. Regulatory Compliance
All anglers must comply with current Federal and Florida fishing regulations.
Anglers fishing from non-USCG captained vessels must possess a valid Florida fishing license.
13. Boat Safety
All registered boats must meet State and USCG safety requirements.
14. Fishing Methods
Fish must be caught using handheld rod and reel only. No other capture methods are permitted.
15. Catch Documentation & Measurement
This is a catch-photo-release tournament.
Fish must be photographed on the official tournament ruler
Nose must be flush against zero
Tail pinched for maximum length
Entire fish clearly visible
Fish must be released immediately after measurement
All submissions must be uploaded through the iAngler Tournament App.
16. Photo Submission Deadline
All fish must be submitted by 2:30 PM.
17. Media Rights
All submitted photos and media become property of Pasco County Professional Firefighters and may be used for promotional or marketing purposes.
18. Slam Scoring
Each team’s Slam total is calculated by adding the longest:
Redfish
Snook
Trout
Only the largest fish of each species counts.
19. Tie Breaker
In the event of a tie, the winner will be determined by the timestamp of the first completed Slam submission.
20. Awards Requirement
Winning teams must be present at the weigh-in ceremony to receive prizes.
Sportsmanship
Good sportsmanship is expected at all times. Any misconduct or unsportsmanlike behavior may result in immediate disqualification and possible ban from future events.
